What is a Makers Studio? A maker studio is a dedicated location for a community of artists, inventors, craftsmen, and hobbyists to work on their projects. The location is a large building with several work areas that contain a varied collection of materials, tools, and equipment. A makers studio is also referred to as “maker spaces”, “maker labs”, or “fab-labs.” Members of a makers studio have the opportunity to acquire new skills, expand their hobbies, and "to learn how to do that thing they always wanted to do". The business model is similar to that of a Gym, where members pay a monthly fee for access to the fitness equipment, expertise, and facilities.
